WASHINGTON, May 20 (Hina) - World Bank's executive directors'
committee granted two new credits to Bosnia-Herzegovina at a
session in Washington.
The credits total US$30 million.
The first credit will be used to reconstruct the electric power
system in the country, and the second is intended for stimulating
small and middle scale businesses in Republika Srpska.
The World Bank stressed on Wednesday that it expected from
authorities in Banja Luka to urgently reorganise the banking system
and privatisation of companies.
Both credits are interest-free, granted for 35 years with a grace
period of ten years and service expenses at 0.75 per cent.
A World Bank report said that credits had been granted based on the
conclusions of a donors' conference for Bosnia-Herzegovina held in
Brussels at the beginning of May.
It expected countries, participants at the donors' conference, to
reach similar decisions, which Sweden and Great Britain have
already announced to do.
