ZAGREB, April 30 (Hina) - The World Bank will continue to support
the development of Croatia's economy and the institution is
currently financing 12 projects in the country, a representative of
the World Bank office in Zagreb said on Thursday.
Asked to comment on current relations between the World Bank and
Croatia, Zoran Anusic said the realisation of the bank's second
instalment of funds would depend on Croatian Government policy.
The second instalment is earmarked for the restructuring of the
finance and public sector, especially Croatian Post and
Telecommunications (HPT), worth 160 million German marks.
In preparation are another 15 long-term development projects,
which the World Bank is prepared to finance and the Croatian
Government is considering.
Several missions of the World Bank are currently in Zagreb in
relation to the renewal of Split's Diocletian Palace and road
infrastructure projects.
