VUKOVAR, May 15 (Hina) - Workers of the Vukovar City Administration
on Thursday began to remove street signs which were placed in the
city during the Serbian occupation.
According to head of the city's Department for Communal Management
and Urban Planning, Kresimir Slafhauzer, all signs which are not
from 1991 will be removed. For now pre-war street names are being
returned and soon there will be a commission established for the
renaming of city streets and squares.
The city authorities also cautioned all owners of business premises
and companies in the city that in line with regulations they are
required to display the names of their businesses in the Latin
script or bilingual signs.
