EXHUMATION AT VUKOVAR'S 'NEW CEMETERY' CONTINUES

( Editorial: --> 3327 ) VUKOVAR, May 12 (Hina) - The exhumation of remains of victims killed during the Homeland War continues at a mass grave in Vukovar, called 'Vukovar's New Cemetery'. Bodies were buried in trenches. Exhumation of the fourth trench is under way, and the fifth trench is being prepared, president of the Croatian government Commission for Imprisoned and Missing Persons, Ivan Grujic, said on Tuesday. Nine families were called out to identify victims, while the Commission experts managed to identify six persons by noon Tuesday. The identification process continues, and some 60 persons will be identified in the next three days, Grujic said. Two hundred and twelve persons have so far been exhumed from the New Cemetery, out of which 117 persons have been identified.
