JERUSALEM, May 12 (Hina) - Israeli President Ezer Weizman on
Tuesday received Croatian foreign Minister Mate Granic who is
visiting Israel.
"I gave President Weizman a special letter and relayed greetings
from Croatian President Franjo Tudjman," Granic said after the
meeting.
Weizman and Granic agreed that the relations between the two
countries were developing well and that there were mutual interests
for promoting cooperation in all areas.
Both countries are in a specific situation and there is interest for
an exchange of experiences, Granic stressed.
"The talks we held with the President and Premier Benjamin
Netanyahu were completely oriented towards the future and
development of relations," Granic said.
He underlined that he held a new era in the relations between the two
countries was around the corner.
After visiting Jerusalem, Granic and the Croatian delegation went
on a tour of the old city of Jerusalem. They will visit the Israeli
Parliament, Knesset, on the afternoon.
