PRISTINA, April 2 (Hina) - The presidency of the largest Kosovo
Albanian party - the Democratic Alliance of Kosovo - on Thursday
reiterated their request for the Belgrade regime to withdraw its
special police forces from Kosovo.
The party warned that the Serbian police were still holding the area
of Drenica under siege.
The police were terrorising the unprotected Albanian population,
the party said adding there were reports saying police opened fire
on some villages in the Srbica municipality yesterday.
Recent reports spoke of an increased number of Serbian forces in
Kosovo, the party said describing as false official statements from
Belgrade on the withdrawal of special units.
The Kosovo Democratic Alliance also warned the international
community that the Serbian authorities were exerting pressure on a
part of Kosovo Albanians to sign a declaration on loyalty.
