ZAGREB/SPLIT, Feb 9 (Hina) - The American Embassy in Zagreb has
confirmed two US officials met a group of refugees from Bosnia-
Herzegovina in Split on Monday about their chances of returning to
the Sarajevo Canton.
American Ambassador to Croatia, William Montgomery, and Deputy
Assistant US Secretary of State for refugees and migration,
Marguerite Houze, attended the Split meeting which was held behind
closed doors and no details were released today on its content.
An earlier release from the Embassy said Montgomery and Houze were
to inform the refugees of the results of an international
conference on return held in Sarajevo on 3 February, and "repeat US
support" for the multi-ethnic and multiple process of the return of
refugees and displaced people.
