CROATIAN REPS PRESENT REPORT ON STATUS OF WOMEN IN CROATIA IN U.N.

( Editorial: --> 7006 ) NEW YORK, 25 Jan (Hina) - A Croatian delegation, headed by the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Care, Vesna Babic, on Friday completed the presentation of a report on the application of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women in the United Nations in New York. The delegation also presented the newly-adopted national policy on promoting the equality of women in Croatia, Croatia's permanent mission in the U.N. said Saturday. Presenting the initial report and answering numerous questions by experts from the Committee for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, the Croatian delegation presented the current position of women in Croatia as well as measures which are being taken with the aim of improving women's status.
