ZAGREB, 19 Jan (Hina)- Croatian Ambassador to the Russian
Federation Hido Biscevic gave his credentials to Russian President
Boris Yeltsin on Monday, the Croatian Ministry for Foreign Affairs
said in a statement.
In a short speech to diplomats gathered in the Kremlin, President
Yeltsin talked about the role of the Russian Federation in the
shaping of the new European order and explained the main priorities
of Russian foreign policy.
In a separate, brief discussion with Ambassador Bivsevic, the
bilateral interest for further cooperation between Croatia and
Russia was confirmed, including political dialogue on the highest
level to strengthen peace and stability in Croatia's neighbouring
region, south east Europe.
