ZAGREB, 13 Jan (Hina) - Croatian Premier Zlatko Matesa on Tuesday
received representatives of 'Belisce d.d.', the largest producer
of packaging paper in Croatia.
'Belisce d.d.' is to sign two very important contacts with foreign
partners soon.
One of the contacts will be signed with the international financial
corporation IFC from Washington.
On the basis of a DM 75-million loan, the IFC will become the owner
of 20% of 'Belisce d.d.' share portfolio, the Government
communications office said in a statement.
The German company 'Krupp' and 'Belisce d.d.' have also prepared a
contract on joint investment into the Machines Factory, which is
part 'Belisce d.d.'. This contract makes 'Krupp' the majority owner
of the Factory.
The two contracts will enable not only property but also production
reorganisation, as well as the creation of new jobs and the
increasing of production quality ad the quality of products to the
international level.
The investments do not require special guarantees of domestic banks
or the state and are important for Croatia because they mean the
restoration of trust of foreign partners, the confirmation of
stability and success of the reintegration process.
