INTERNATIONAL YOUTH THEATRE FESTIVAL TO START IN ZAGREB JAN 17

( Editorial: --> 4129 ) ZAGREB, 13 Jan (Hina) - From January 17 to 29, Zagreb will host a theatre festival gathering young theatre artists from eight central-European and Mediterranean countries. The festival was organised by 'Teatar ITD' from Zagreb. The event, entitled "Mitteleuropean Mediterranean Youth Theatre", includes 15 performances, three video shows, an evening of chansons and festival discussions on theatre expression in the 90s. At the end of the festival, a jury consisting of students and young journalists who like theatre and write about it, will choose the best performances among domestic troupes and those from Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, France and Germany. Visitors will also be able to see two domestic performances which are not competing for prizes - "Fedra" and "Stilske vjezbe" ("Expression Skills"). (hina) rm 131730 MET jan 98
