SARAJEVO, 13 January (Hina) - The Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ)
committee of the Sarajevo Canton has called on representatives of
the international community involved in the implementation of the
Dayton Peace Accord to take more notice of the situation in the
capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina so that domination by one
nationality does not occur, as Sarajevo would lose its multiethnic
identity.
In an announcement published on Tuesday in Sarajevo, the HDZ
expressed satisfaction with the fact that the City Council was
formed even though it took over a year.
The City Council includes six Croats, but it took a great effort to
curb opposition and gain important support from international
mediators, the announcement said.
