ZAGREB, Jan 8 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Thursday received the new Indian Ambassador to Croatia, Udai Singh,
who handed over his credentials.
Singh said India would like to work together with Croatia as much as
possible in different international bodies.
He stressed that India and Croatia could strengthen their economic
and technological cooperation.
Tudjman said that Croatia paid particular attention to relations
with India because of the exceptional role this big country played
internationally. He added that Croatia wanted many-sided
political, economic and cultural relations with India.
Tudjman said that a leader of the Croatian people between the two
world wars, Stjepan Radic, had been called the Croatian Ghandi
because he had used Ghandi's principles in politics and life.
