COUNTY COURT PRESIDENT: LAWYER ALABURIC'S CHARGES A FAILURE

ZAGREB, Dec 8 (Hina) - Zagreb County Court president Miroslav Sumanovic said on Friday the pressing of charges against Judge Zoran Luburic for unconscientious work was a failure. The charges were announced yesterday by Europapress Holding publisher's attorney Vesna Alaburic, who said Luburic made a hasty decision in ruling a 48-hour detention for the publisher's chairman of the board and co-owner, Ninoslav Pavic, and one of the owners of OTV television station, Vinko Grubisic. Pavic and Grubisic were arrested on Monday on suspicion of participating in an attempt to monopolise the Croatian media. Judge Luburic ruled a 48-hour detention on Tuesday, but they were released the next day after the state prosecutor's office decided against an investigation.
