ZAGREB, Nov 20 (Hina) - Hungarian parliament foreign affairs committee members, who are on an official visit to Zagreb, on Monday talked with the Sabor foreign affairs committee's head Zdravko Tomac, on bilateral relations and the
current state of affairs in the region. Describing his homeland as a central European, Mediterranean, Danube Basin and Balkan country, a Sabor Deputy Speaker Tomac said Croatia would like primarily to be a European country, and saw Hungary as the chief partner in those efforts. The Hungarian guests spoke of projects in which Budapest was mostly interested such as an agreement on free trade and the opening of a free zone in the Croatian biggest seaport of Rijeka. Commenting on the recent downfall of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic, the Hungarian MPs said they were less happy than the international community as the fact that Milosevic had been toppled was just the first
