ZAGREB, Oct 27 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan and the World Bank director for South and Central Europe, Andrew Vorkink, signed a US$400,000-worth deed of donation to the Croatian government, intended for the improvement
of social and business communications, in Zagreb on Friday. Vorkink and Finance Minister Mato Crkvenac signed an agreement on a EUR14.8 million for the improvement of trade and transport. The loan, with time of repayment of 15 years and a grace of five years, is intended, among else, for the modernisation of the Croatian customs service, speeding up import and export procedures, enabling electronic data exchange between border offices and preventing crime and corruption on border crossings.The loan also refers to the construction and equipment of the border crossings Slavonski Brod, Gunja, Maljevac and Samac.(hina) rml
