SARENGRAD, Oct 11 (Hina) - After a two-hour blockade of state road Vukovar-Ilok, near eastern Croatian town of Sarengrad, peasants from Lovas, Mohovo, Bapska and Opatovac, discontinued the protest, organised due to the unsettled
payment for this year's wheat crop, at 11AM Wednesday. According to the peasants, Osijek-based company In-cubo owes them over two million kuna (DM0.5 million) for the payment of this year's wheat crop. The peasants were joined by secretary of the Association of Peasants of Slavonia and Baranja Stanko Zdravcevic. The Association is the organiser of the protest. Zdravcevic said the Croatian Agriculture and Forestry Ministry expressed good will, in line with which they would settle the debt if In-cubo fails to do so within the next seven days. Now, we only have to agree on the price. We are not going to go bellow 0.95 kuna per kilogram, Zdravcevic said and added In-cubo's debt totalled about 14 million kuna (
