ZAGREB, July 24 (Hina) - With US$316-million-worth exports and US$743-million-worth imports, Croatia's oil company INA is first on a list of 100 largest exporters and importers in 1999, published by the Zagreb-based 'Privredni
Vjesnik' in collaboration with the Payment Operations Bureau.
ZAGREB, July 24 (Hina) - With US$316-million-worth exports and
US$743-million-worth imports, Croatia's oil company INA is first
on a list of 100 largest exporters and importers in 1999, published
by the Zagreb-based 'Privredni Vjesnik' in collaboration with the
Payment Operations Bureau. #L#
Following Ina, which has kept the first position for the second
year, is the Rijeka-based ship-repairing yard 'Viktor Lenac' with
US$215-million-worth exports. The third position is held by
Zagreb's DIOKI company with exports worth 172 million dollars.
The pharmaceutical company Pliva has kept its position from 1998
and is fourth on the list, with just above US$156 million of
exports. It is followed by another shipyard - Pula's 'Uljanik',
with deliveries worth just above US$124 million. In 1998, Uljanik
was not among the first ten biggest exporters.
Sixth on the list is Petrokemija from Kutina, which last year
exported products worth US$84.8 million. It is followed by the
food-processing company Podravka from Koprivnica, with exports
worth US$66.1 million.
Podravka is followed by Selk from Kutina (US$46.5 million),
'Kamensko' clothing manufacturer (US$46.3 million) and Sibenik's
TLM-TVP company, with exports worth US$45.5 million.
If export and import values of these companies are compared, the
biggest net exporter last year was the shipyard Viktor Lenac with
net exports worth more than 212 million dollars.
