ZAGREB, Oct 17 (Hina) - Negotiating teams of public service unions and the government reached an agreement on Wednesday during resumed negotiations on a new basic work agreement that union rights would remain at the current level.
Before today's talks, both sides signed a protocol on which future negotiations will be based. They will resume in about ten days and focus on the general aspects of the basic work agreement, the conciliation process, and the right to strike. In about ten days, an analysis of the effects of a government decree on coefficients for public servants' salaries and the law on salaries should be completed.
