"The future of Serbia and the region are at stake. Keeping Serbia aside due to Kosovo, on which the United States is wrongly insisting, means the weakening of the region and strengthening of nationalistic movements. Serbia's progress in European integration processes will not be tied with the recognition of Kosovo but with technical, economic and regional cooperation with Kosovo," Sidjanski said in his interview with the Blic daily.
According to him Brussels is closely watching the reforms Serbia has so far carried out, and the country is now on the right track.
