ZAGREB, July 12 (Hina) - Parliament resumed its 13th session on Thursday by endorsing a bill on the Croatian news agency HINA in first reading, which envisages a new way of financing and transforming the agency from a state-run into a
public medium. Parliament also endorsed a bill of amendments to a law on compensation for property seized during the pre-1990 communist rule in the former Yugoslav federation. Instead of pecuniary compensation, precedence will go to compensation in kind whenever possible. Under the bill, compensation would also be granted to foreigners who were ex-Yugoslavia's citizens and resided in its then constituent republic of Croatia on the day the property was seized.
