ZAGREB, July 5 (Hina) - The president of the Association for the Promotion of Croatian Identity and Prosperity (HIP), Miroslav Tudjman, on Thursday called on the Ivica Racan Cabinet to "take a position on media reports on the arrest
of Croatian generals in the near future," particularly in light of the arrival of ICTY Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte in Zagreb in Zagreb tomorrow. The HIP regards such rumours and speculation on the apprehension of Croatian generals in the near future as yet another attempt to equate the aggressor and victims, and as the continuation of the criminalisation of the Croatian Homeland Defence War. Another HIP leader, Nenad Ivankovic, said the association was making preparations for an early parliamentary election, during which the HIP would like to gather right and centrist parties.(hina) sb ms
