ZAGREB, June 26 (Hina) - A government-moved state budget revision whereby revenue totals 55.3 billion and expenditure 58.1 billion kuna arrived on parliament's agenda on Tuesday. It proposes financing the 2.8 billion kuna deficit
through additional debts. The motion increases expenditure by 17 percent or 8.4 billion and revenue by 11.3 percent or 5.6 billion kuna. In view of the upcoming decentralisation of state administration, effective July 1, the government has moved increasing spending for counties by 158 percent to total 847 million kuna. Capital expenditures would also increase, by 360 million kuna. As of July 1, revenue would actually increase by some seven billion kuna as a result of pension and disability insurance contributions being paid on the state treasury account. The motion increases expenditure by 17 percent or 8.4 billion and
revenue by 11.3 percent or 5.6 billion kuna.
In view of the upcoming decentralisation of state administration,
effective July 1, the government has moved increasing spending for
counties by 158 percent to total 847 million kuna.
Capital expenditures would also increase, by 360 million kuna.
As of July 1, revenue would actually increase by some seven billion
kuna as a result of pension and disability insurance contributions
being paid on the state treasury account.
Plans also include increasing revenue from income tax, 505 million
and profit tax, 100 million kuna.
On the other hand, revenue from privatisation is expected to
disappoint, amounting to 6.5 billion instead of 8.5 billion kuna.
A final bill of amendments to the Law on the Execution of the State
Budget proposes financing this two billion kuna deficit, as well as
the 834.4 million deficit of the Pension Insurance Institute, by
incurring additional debts on the domestic and foreign money and
capital market.
