UGLJAN, May 11 (Hina) - A ship winch factory, formerly owned by a bankrupt company "Brodoremont", was opened on Croatia's island of Ugljan today. The factory is now owned by magnate Walter Wolf. Wolf bought the factory last July from
the Croatian Privatisation Fund for the symbolic price of one kuna, but has also taken on the company's debts of 18 million kuna. Croatian Privatisation Fund president Hrvoje Vojkovic said Wolf fulfilled all his commitments, began the technological reconstruction of the company, kept all employees, opened up new job opportunities and found a market for exports. This is a very joyful story, he said, recalling "Brodoremont" was last July about to be closed down.
