PUKLA, May 5 (Hina) - An agreement on the construction of 126 flats according to a subsidised house-building programme was signed on Saturday by Public Works, Reconstruction and Construction Minister Radimir Cacic and the mayors of
Pula, Rovinj and Buje. The programme covers the building of 85 flats in Pula, 35 in Rovinj and six in Buje. The flats will be built at markedly lower and more affordable prices. One square metre of the new flat according to the so-called Cacic programme will thus cost DEM1,700 instead of the DEM2,000-4,000 currently on the market. "With this programme the state will provide housing for some 6,000 citizens, open some 5,000 new jobs in the construction industry, and most importantly try to affect the cutting of the current house-building prices," Minister Cacic said in Pula.(hina) ha sb
