ZAGREB ARCHBISHOP HOLDS EASTER MASS

ZAGREB, April 15 (Hina) - At Sunday's Easter Mass at Zagreb Cathedral, Zagreb Archbishop Josip Bozanic called on the faithful to celebrate resurrection and life and live in unity with God. He invoked the Resurrected One for support for peace- and justice- makers and those building solidarity and friendship in war- affected areas as well as for those who bring peace and understanding among people. It was with the Resurrected One that the fight between life and death, hope and despair, resignation and struggle for prosperity began. This fight will not stop until the final victory over the forces of hatred and destruction, Bozanic said. He wished all, especially the sick, the suffering ones, prisoners, the poor, the abandoned, refugees and all in need of help, peace. Bozanic wished a happy Easter to Catholic believers and the Croat people in Croatia and abroad and all Christian believers celebrating Easter together with the Catholic Church. Participating in today's mass were Zagreb auxiliary bishops Josip Mrzljak and Vlado Kosic, apostolic nuncio Giulio Einaudi and Cardinal Franjo Kuharic, retired Zagreb Archbishop. Easter Mass was celebrated throughout Croatia today. (hina) rml
