BELGRADE, April 13 (Hina) - The former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic was on Friday afternoon transferred back from Belgrade's Centre for Military Medicine to the central prison where he has been in custody since April 1.
Milosevic's transfer from the Centre for Military Medicine, where he was taken on Wednesday evening due to a heart condition and high blood pressure, has been officially confirmed by the law firm of Toma Fila, a defence attorney for the former Yugoslav president. Milosevic was returned to his prison cell after a doctors' team assessed his condition as good. An attorney for the law firm defending Milosevic said he would receive therapy for high blood pressure, which did not require hospital stay. Two luxury cars and three police jeeps passed the iron gate to the Belgrade Central Prison at 17.30 pm. It is believed Milosevic and his wife were in a BMW with tinted windows which was followed by a black Mercedes.(hina) r
