ZAGREB MOBSTER SHOWDOWN, DIES ZAGREB, March 29 (Hina) - Vjeko Slisko, one of the bosses in the Zagreb underground, died at 4.15 am Thursday of serious injuries he sustained during an assassination attempt against him seven days ago,
the Croatian interior ministry stated. Last Thursday James Capau approached Slisko from behind in the downtown Zagreb and fired a few bullets at him in broad daylight. Slisko sustained grave injuries in his head and was taken to a Zagreb hospital where he was on a life-support machine since then. Slisko's bodyguard Ivica Bertic alias Rus seriously wounded his assassin Capau firing a bullet at his head. Capau died of the injuries in the same hospital on 24 March. Bertic was apprehended by police last Monday.(hina) ms
