ZAGREB, March 16 (Hina) - Croatia will host the 49th NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Rose-Roth seminar on the security and stability in the Balkans, president of the parliament's committee for interior policy and national security
Djurdja Adlesic said on Friday. The seminar will be held in the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik between March 22 and 24. The Croatian parliament is the co-organiser of the seminar called "Security and Stability in South and Central Europe". Rose-Roth is a NATO education programme for parliament representatives on security issues, aiming at the implementation of the Partnership for Peace programme, namely a democratic control of armed forces and dialogue between NATO member countries, legislator, partner countries' associates on the issues of European security, Adlesic told a news conference in Zagreb. stability in the Balkans, president of the parliament's committee
for interior policy and national security Djurdja Adlesic said on
Friday.
The seminar will be held in the southern Adriatic town of Dubrovnik
between March 22 and 24. The Croatian parliament is the co-
organiser of the seminar called "Security and Stability in South
and Central Europe".
Rose-Roth is a NATO education programme for parliament
representatives on security issues, aiming at the implementation
of the Partnership for Peace programme, namely a democratic control
of armed forces and dialogue between NATO member countries,
legislator, partner countries' associates on the issues of
European security, Adlesic told a news conference in Zagreb.
The seminar will be attended by 150 participants from 49 member-
countries, associate members and observers in the Parliamentary
Assembly. They will discuss security issues in the region, said
Adlesic who is also the head of the Croatia parliament delegation to
the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
Croatia joined the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in May 2000.
The seminar will also be attended by Croatian parliament speaker
Zlatko Tomcic, his deputy Zdravko Tomac and Defence Minister Jozo
Rados.
Yugoslavia will attend the seminar as an observer.
