session by voting on items debated yesterday and adopted amendments

The amendments' goal is the maximum simplification and reduction of
the costs of customs clearance, full surveillance at customs
offices during cargo unloading, and the reduction from five to
three years the period spent abroad necessary to become eligible
for benefits.
MPs adopted a decision on the allocation of 14.3 million kuna
(EUR1.9 million) in assistance to 150 towns and municipalities
which were proclaimed natural disaster areas in this year's second
half.
Parliament adopted a law ratifying a Croatia-Macedonia agreement
on the transfer and admission of aliens, and another ratifying an
agreement on the avoidance of double taxation and the payment of
income and property taxes.
Parliament resumed the session by debating a government-sponsored
bill of amendments to the Penal Code.
