ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - Some 70 academicians and scientists on Friday signed or supported the Croatian Sea Charter, which seeks that parliament declare an exclusive economic belt in the Adriatic Sea in line with the 1982 Convention
on the Rights of the Sea and the 1994 Croatian Maritime Code.
ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - Some 70 academicians and scientists on
Friday signed or supported the Croatian Sea Charter, which seeks
that parliament declare an exclusive economic belt in the Adriatic
Sea in line with the 1982 Convention on the Rights of the Sea and the
1994 Croatian Maritime Code. #L#
The Charter states that no one must bring Croatia's borders into
question as they are not and must not be the subject of negotiating,
trading or arbitration.
Professor Zvonimir Separovic, the initiator of the Charter, said
that in mid-October many ships would come to the economic belt line
where the Croatian Sea Charter would be officially proclaimed and
parliament requested to ratify it.
