On the basis of gathered information, police officers arrested D.D.
(born 1974) and F.C. (born 1967) at Split's outdoor market at about
5am Saturday under suspicion that they had drugs in their vehicle.
The vehicle was taken to the police station and, pursuant to an
investigating judge warrant, it was searched. A total of 24 packets
of marijuana were found in a hand-crafted compartment in the
vehicle's fuel tank.
Both men were brought before an investigating judge who ordered
detention for both of them. They will be charged with producing and
selling of drugs, as well as conspiring to sell drugs.
Tauber informed reporters that D.D. was a police officer in
Dubovnik-Neretva County. The commander of the county police
received a request for initiating disciplinary proceedings against
him.
