SKOPLJE SKOPLJE, July 1 (Hina) - Croatia and Macedonia have good friendly relations and this visit will significantly advance those relations, president of Croatia's parliament Zlatko Tomcic stated on Monday in Skoplje following talks
with his Macedonian cunterpart Stojan Andov.

Tomcic is currently on an official visit to Macedonia at the head of
a Croatian parliamentary delegation.
In addition to meeting with Macedonian president of the Sobranja,
Andov, the delegation met with Macedonian President Boris
Trajkovski and Macedonian Foregin Minister Slobodan Casul.
Tomcic emphasised the good and friendly bilateral relations
between the two countries and added that during the talks he
conducted issues were opened that related to intensifying economic
relations.
Tomcic expressed certainty that the talks achieved at least three
objectives mutually agreed upon.
A common strategic objective for both Croatia and Macedonia is
long-term stability in the region of southeast Europe and
membership to the EU and NATO, Tomcic said.
In the morning hours, the delegation met members of the House of
Representatives of the Sobranja and spoke about cooperation
between the Sobranja and the Croatian parliament as well as
parliamentary committees for economic policies and the economy.
A planned meeting with Prime Minister Ljubce Georgievski was
cancelled as the prime minister could not attend.
