The participants in the meeting signed a joint statement in front of
reporters. The statement says, among else, that culture is a
significant factor in the creation of mutual understanding, trust,
and good neighbourly relations.
The representatives of the four countries agreed they would do
everything to preserve and encourage cooperation in the protection
of cultural heritage of each country separately. The four countries
will also incite cultural heritage research and create joint
projects in literature, music, film, etc. and will particularly
encourage cooperation in the translation of books and the
publishing business, the statement says.
