The decision will enable the convicts to be transferred to Serbia to
serve their sentences there. This issue was discussed by former
Croatian justice minister Ingrid Anticevic Marinovic and her Serbian
counterpart Vladan Batic during their recent meeting in Belgrade.
The transfer of convicts is regulated by the European Convention on
the Transfer of Sentenced Persons. The convention applies to both
Croatia and Serbia-Montenegro as members of the Council of Europe.
