Ahead of tonight's session of the SDP Presidency, which is closed to
public, Racan declined to comment on a statement which Croatian
Peasant Party (HSS) president Zlatko Tomcic made earlier today --
namely that his party will not form a coalition with the HDZ, but
that it will support the future HDZ-led minority or majority
government.
Racan said the HSS was acting in line with its interests, which he
declined to comment on.
He added that over the past four years, the SDP-led government
established Croatia's political stability and that the task of the
new government was to maintain that stability.
