processes.

Friday met representatives of the Opatija Children's City Council,
established in 2001 with the aim of integrating children and young
people in decision-making processes. #L#
The delegates of the Opatija Children's City Council, which
represents children's interests in the city council, said the
council received 10,000 kuna of city funds every year and this year
the funds were used to introduce sexual education classes for
children aged between 14 and 18.
The Children's Council consists of 15 councillors aged between 10
and 14, who are headed by a child mayor. The Council, which is
elected by secret ballot, represents all children of Opatija and
their interests in the city council.
