ZAGREB, Nov 23 (Hina) - A total of 6,795 polling stations were opened at 07:00 hrs Sunday in which 3,972,559 Croatian nationals, with permanent residence in the country, can vote for the new Sabor.

opened at 07:00 hrs Sunday in which 3,972,559 Croatian nationals,
with permanent residence in the country, can vote for the new Sabor.

The polling stations will be open until 19:00 hrs Sunday.
A total of 41 individual party slates, 28 slates of coalitions and
50 slates with independent candidates have been nominated for the
elections for the new parliament.
Seventy nine (79) candidates are standing in the election for eight
representatives of ethnic minorities that cast their ballots in
constituency No. 12.
Croatian citizens without permanent residence in Croatia, as well
as those who happen to be abroad on election day, will cast their
ballots at 155 polling stations in 50 countries in constituency no.
11, which is designed for the expatriate community. Out-of-country
voting is scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday.
The State Electoral Commission is expected to announce first
incomplete returns at 21.30 Sunday.
