ZAGREB, Nov 21 (Hina) - Croatia's President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Stjepan Mesic has promoted four active officers of the country's Armed Forces, according to a press release issued by the defence ministry.

Staff Brigadier Mate Ostovic was awarded the rank of brigadier
general in the infantry, while Brigadier Mate Padjen the rank of
brigadier general in the artillery.
Brigadier General Mato Ostovic, who is in charge of the Army General
Staff Logistics Department, and Brigadier General Mate Padjen, who
is responsible for the Defence Planning and International Military
Cooperation Department, were awarded by highest decorations for
their service in the military and their engagement in the 1995
operations 'Flash' and 'Storm'.
Naval Captain Ivica Supic was promoted to the rank of commodore, and
Brigadier Darko Rukavina to the rank of brigadier general in Air
Defence. The former is the head of the department of
communications-information command system and the latter is the
head of the Chief Staff personnel department. They also received
high decorations.
