ZAGREB, Nov 17 (Hina) - The annual award of the Croatian Heritage Foundation (HMI) for the best Croat minority village in Europe went to the village Sumarton near Nagykanisza in Hungary, the HMI said in a statement on Monday.

The award is given to Croat settlements whose residents
predominantly use the Croatian language, not only within their
families, but in the community as well. The residents of Sumarton
promote the Croatian language and cultural heritage as well as ties
with Croatia, the HMI said.
