Pejkovic, who is also the head of the office for refugees, returnees
and displaced persons, received mild concussion, a Zagreb clinic
reported.
Doctors told Hina that Pejkovic was released from hospital after
the test showed that his condition was stable. They, however,
recommended that Pejkovic rests.
Spokeswoman for the Zagreb police Gordana Vulama said on Monday
police were conducting a comprehensive search after the three
attackers who made Pejkovic stop his official car after which one of
them hit him in the head.
"No one is a suspect yet and the description of the attackers which
the assistant minister gave was not much of a help," Valuma said,
adding that the attackers who forced Pejkovic to stop were driving
in two big dark vehicles.
The police say they do not know the motive of the attack. Pejkovic
told the media he had never seen the attackers before.
