SARAJEVO, Oct 28 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina's Council of
Ministers will publicly invite potential concession-holders that
would like to take part in the construction of a section of the
European Vc corridor passing through Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bosnian
Transport Minister Branko Dokic said on Tuesday. #L#
Dokic, who held a news conference in Sarajevo, recalled that the
private company Bosmal had still time until 23 November to present
bank guarantees for the sum of 300 million euros, necessary for the
elaboration of project documentation and settlement of ownership
issues.
The minister relayed the council's opinion that so far Bosmal had
not offered evidence that it possessed the necessary funds.
In those circumstances, the council can only ask potential
concession-holders to send letters of interest, while the
invitation for bids can be announced only after the project
documentation has been elaborated, the minister explained.
This August the Croatian government sent a letter of intent to
Sarajevo, announcing that it would like to financially help the
elaboration of the said documentation.
Dokic told reporters that in any case a decision on the highway
through Bosnia as part of the Vc corridor could not be made before
the Bosnian parliament appointed a commission for granting
concessions, which was likely to happen by the end of this year.
