The novel, published by the Zagreb-based VBZ publishing house, is a
war novel with elements of a horror story, with the author examining
the essence of war by presenting horrific and hopeless images from
the front line and confirming one of the eternal truths - that there
are no winners and losers in war, because all are losers, it is said
in the explanation accompanying the award.
