LJUBLJANA, Oct 3 (Hina) - The Slovene Parliament's Foreign Policy Committee on Friday expressed "regret and concern" over Croatia's intention to expand its jurisdiction in the Adriatic, "Slovenia will certainly protect its strategic
interests in a convincing manner. How and when it will do so depends on further developments," Committee Chairman Jelko Kacin said after a closed session. Kacin said Slovenia expected that in deciding on such a "sensitive and demanding issue" Croatia would take into account the positions of the European Commission and Italy, which currently holds the six-month rotating presidency of the European Union.(hina) vm sb
