PORTOROZ/ZAGREB, Sept 26 (Hina) - Croatian Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bozidar Pankretic participated in a meeting of foreign ministers of CEFTA member countries in Portoroz, Slovenia, on Friday. The meeting focused on national
strategies and agricultural policies of member countries.
PORTOROZ/ZAGREB, Sept 26 (Hina) - Croatian Agriculture and
Forestry Minister Bozidar Pankretic participated in a meeting of
foreign ministers of CEFTA member countries in Portoroz, Slovenia,
on Friday. The meeting focused on national strategies and
agricultural policies of member countries. #L#
Ministers exchanged information about the current situation in
agriculture, particularly the effects of natural disasters and the
process of drawing closer to the European Union, the Croatian
ministry said in a statement.
On the margins of the conference, Pankretic held bilateral talks
with representatives of Romania and Bulgaria.
The Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) is a multilateral
agreement aimed at establishing a free-trade zone by a gradual
removal of duties for industrial goods, liberalisation of trade for
agricultural products, and free competition in the member-
countries.
