Judge Amin El Mahdi said the trial of the former commander of the
Croatian Defence Council could last about six months.
The ICTY indicted Ljubicic for crimes against humanity, violations
of war laws and customs, persecution of Muslims in Central Bosnia
during the Croat-Muslim conflicts.
The gravest crime Ljubicic is charged with is the one committed in
the village of Ahmici in which more than 100 Muslims were killed.
