The programmes offer expert and advisory assistance, as well as
financial and other incentives. They include extremely favourable
loans, with an annual interest rate of two percent, grace of six
months to two years, and payment deadlines of three to 10 years,
Pecek said.
He added that the ministry would invest 50 million kuna in the
projects and that contracts had been signed with seven units of
local self-government so far. The loans are intended for the
purchase and construction of facilities, the purchase of equipment
and new technologies.
Pecek said that his ministry had so far invested some 4.5 billion
kuna in different programmes and that the number of businesses in
the past three years had increased from 83,000 to 101,000, with more
than 2,600 new companies having been established.
