ZAGREB, Sept 11 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan on Thursday sent a letter of condolence to his Swedish counterpart, Goeran Persson, over the death of Foreign Minister Anne Lindh, who has passed away after she was stabbed
in the centre of Stockholm on Wednesday.

Thursday sent a letter of condolence to his Swedish counterpart,
Goeran Persson, over the death of Foreign Minister Anne Lindh, who
has passed away after she was stabbed in the centre of Stockholm on

"The tragic death of Minister Anne Lindh has deeply shaken us all.
We are appalled at the criminal assault on Minister Lindh and hope
that the assailant will be apprehended and brought to justice as
soon as possible," the letter said.
"We highly appreciate the support she extended to Croatia on its
path to the European Union. She will never be forgotten," Racan
wrote.
Croatian Foreign Minister Tonino Picula sent a letter of condolence
to the Swedish prime minister, the government and the foreign
ministry.
Minister Lindh "considerably contributed to the development of
excellent relations between Croatia and Sweden, including
substantial support to Croatia's efforts to attain membership in
the European Union," Picula wrote.
