PAKRAC PAKRAC, Sept 9 (Hina) - The US ambassador to Croatia, Ralph Frank, on Tuesday visited Pakrac, about 100 km east of Zagreb, where he toured a market place, a sports hall, a student dormitory and a music school which have been
rebuilt by the US Agency for International Development (USAID). The US government co-financed the project with 1.25 million dollars.
PAKRAC, Sept 9 (Hina) - The US ambassador to Croatia, Ralph Frank,
on Tuesday visited Pakrac, about 100 km east of Zagreb, where he
toured a market place, a sports hall, a student dormitory and a
music school which have been rebuilt by the US Agency for
International Development (USAID). The US government co-financed
the project with 1.25 million dollars. #L#
Frank told reporters that his country would try to provide
financial support for new projects in Pakrac, adding that he was
amazed at the results the local government had achieved in
rebuilding the town.
Expressing his satisfaction with the assistance from the US, Pakrac
mayor Damir Spancic said that he also expected assistance for the
construction of a business centre, and added that the US government
had provided $100,000 through the USAID for a pilot project for the
production of prosciutto.
