"We are talking about a letter from a Malaysian bank in which it
expresses willingness to issue such a guarantee," Dokic told
reporters in Banja Luka.
He announced the Bosnian Council of Ministers would meet with the
team coordinating the construction of Vc's section through Bosnia
between September 15 and 20. A meeting will then be held with
representatives of Bosnia's two entities, after which the Council
of Ministers will define its position regarding the Croatian
government's proposal for the construction of the section.
Croatia has issued a letter of intent expressing willingness to put
up US$7-9 million to finance the drawing up of the minimum of
technical documentation required for the construction of 350 km of
highway which would connect eastern and southern Croatia across
Bosnia.
Dokic said the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development
Steering Committee had decided to support with $30 million the
construction of a highway between Banja Luka and Okucani, a project
in which Croatia would participate.
